18 Degrees seeks a Senior Director of Finance.
18 Degrees, a non-profit human service agency serving Western Massachusetts, is where new beginnings come to light for children and families – and could be where your new career does the same! The Senior Director of Finance is a full-time role and is part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for overall financial plans and accounting practices.
- Prepare and monitor organization budget.
- Oversee accounting and audit system controls and standards in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices.
- Ensure timely financial and statistical reports for management and board.
- Provide financial analyses and interpret financial data, recommending changes to improve systems and financial performance.
- Prepare contract budgets, working with program managers to achieve optimal cost recovery.
- Work with independent auditors to prepare annual financial statements and comply with state and federal reporting requirements; report on financial activities to management, the Board of Directors and outside funding sources.
Direct Report(s)
- (3 FTE) Senior Accountant, Accounting Clerk, Payroll Clerk.
- Reports to the President and CEO.
Qualifications
- Education Required:
- BA in Accounting, Finance or related field Minimum Required
- Experience:
- 8 years of progressive experience including minimum 3 years with non- profit grants/contracts, strategy and supervisory experience.
- License(s):
- CPA helpful, but not required.
