General Dynamics Mission Systems is hiring an Electrical Repair Manufacturing Engineer.

Basic Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.

Clearance Requirements

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

We will rely on your knowledge and skills to develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequence, and processes in the manufacturing repair of components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. In this entry-level position, the Electrical Repair Manufacturing Engineer will develop strong communications with internal teams to control the flow of material and make recommendations for restoration and recertification of repaired units. At GDMS, we continually seek ways to develop and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing our team’s knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and solving electrical problems with products their components.
  • Maintaining proper test and inspection documentation for assigned products.
  • Controlling the flow of several products at one time.
  • Providing accurate status for all products in process.
  • Coordinating with team to ensure restoration and recertification for assigned products.

What You Bring To The Table

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a related specialized area or field, or equivalent experience.
  • Clear understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
  • Clear understanding with manufacturing/repair processes and electrical/mechanical components, systems and applications.
