PROJECT GUIDELINES

Make your group project great! Work within these parameters to stay on target.

March 22nd & 23rd, 2019

Your overnight stay on Friday, March 22nd has been reserved at the Country Inn at Jiminy Peak. Each participant is assigned a private room. Although there is no charge for your room, you will be asked to leave a credit card number for incidentals. Please leave your bags stowed in your cars until check-in.

Please park in the lot outside the Country Inn. You will be provided with parking credentials after 5:00 pm when we break for dinner and you check in to your rooms.  Please note that you are required to stay at Jiminy Peak the entire time and cannot have any outside visitors.

  • Highlight areas of investment in the Berkshires across various sectors of the economy
  • Learn about challenges and opportunities facing the region related to economic development in the Berkshires

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Your attendance and active participation in BLP’s weekly sessions is essential to the success of the program. The sessions will be held at locations throughout the county from 5:30-9:30 PM. You are expected to attend all of the nine weekly sessions, in addition to the retreat and commencement, as noted. Missing more than 15 minutes of one of the weekly sessions is considered a ½ absence. Participants who accrue more than two absences, for any reason, other than the birth of a child or grandchild and death of an immediate family member, will result in failure to graduate and will forfeit their tuition. In addition, mandatory time commitments include:

  • Retreat – Attendance is mandatory for the overnight, two-day retreat March 23rd & 24th at Jiminy Peak, which begins at 8:00 AM on Friday and concludes at 4:00 PM on Saturday. You are required to stay at Jiminy Peak the entire time and not have any outside visitors during this time.
  • Economic Development Bus Tour – this tour of the county on March 28th will run from 10:30 AM-6:00 PM. Attendance is mandatory for the entire session.
  • Team Project – Program participants will be required to spend time outside of sessions on their team project. Time will not be provided during scheduled sessions to work on the project.
  • Commencement – Attendance is mandatory from 5:30 PM until the conclusion of the evening’s program.
