Clearance Requirements
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. GDMS has an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to troubleshoot issues and develop solutions to be communicated to various GDMS customers and clients. Key Responsibilities
Senior Systems Engineers analyze, develop, and test GDMS systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort. Other responsibilities include data analysis, troubleshooting various issues/failures of equipment, and formulating solutions to said issues. These individuals will need to have strong communications within a functional team as well as the ability to communicate with various levels of management/clients/customers. These individuals may also be asked to document troubleshooting plans on both new and fielded systems and/or provide evaluation and test support to ensure all technical features are functioning properly. A basic understanding of electrical diagrams as well as physics is beneficial in this role as well.

- Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure GDMS services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.
What You Bring To The Table
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or Physics is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree. Agile experience preferred.
- Solid knowledge of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
- Solid knowledge of requirements management and system modeling tools.
