Basic Qualifications
Design and develop cutting edge weapon training system capabilities for the US Navy, so the nation’s highly trained and certified crews can focus on their mission: making the world a safer place.
Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.
Clearance Requirements
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities For This Position
Role:
As a Systems Engineer for Weapon Training, youll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for continuous development, integration, and insertion of new hardware and software technologies in the Ohio and Columbia Strategic Weapons Training Systems deployed at US and UK shore-based training facilities.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader who excels in a collaborative team environment, has demonstrated experience in designing and upgrading system capabilities via software or hardware enhancements, and is highly skilled at problem investigation and resolution. They are also proficient in Model Based Systems Engineering, IBM DOORs, and SAFe Agile. However, we are willing to train the right candidate.
