A section of the city’s downtown might someday take on a decidedly international flavor. The city hopes to use about $25,000 to $30,000 in Community Development Block Grant funding to fund a feasibility study that would explore the concept of a “woonerf” on Eagle Street. “Eagle Street has a lot of character, and we want to enhance that character,” said Larysa Bernstein, the city’s community development director, who stressed that the project remains in its very initial stages.
