From her vantage point on North Street, Jess Lamb has seen downtown Pittsfield change a lot over the past 10 years. Lamb’s been watching from Dottie’s Coffee Lounge, 444 North St., which she opened in 2007 after a four-year stint working for Joe – The Art of Coffee, in Manhattan. That experience inspired her to return to Pittsfield to open up her own high-quality coffee shop. Dottie’s first years were tough.
