For singer James Taylor, and his wife, Kim, the nation’s longest interstate highway is both a path to home and an epic road trip involving a runaway ape. On Saturday, Taylor and his band were wrapping up a three-day practice session at the Times Union Center for upcoming 13-city national tour, with fellow singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt, which will kick off Thursday in Newark, N.J. During a break, the Taylors shared some tales about their ties to the Capital Region and how Interstate-90, which runs more than 3,000 miles across America, is part of both of their life stories, too.
