Four Western Massachusetts projects that are expected to generate new jobs and millions in private investment have been approved to participate in a state economic development incentive program.
The local projects — one in West Springfield, one in Westfield, and two in North Adams — were among 18 projects approved this week by the Economic Assistance Coordinating Council (EACC). All told, the projects are expected to create 855 jobs and retain 2,958 jobs throughout Massachusetts, while leveraging almost $200 million in private investment.
