In an effort to support medical personnel on the front lines of the COVID-19 outbreak, General Dynamics Mission Systems announced this week the donation of more than 11,000 units of personal protective equipment (PPE), including personal respirators, protective coveralls and gloves to areas heavily impacted by the virus. This equipment was pooled from 16 different operating locations, and shipped directly to health care providers.
“We are doing what we can to help deter the spread of COVID-19. This includes making sure our brave health care providers have the equipment they need to care for the large amount of patients overwhelming their hospitals,” said Chris Brady, President of General Dynamics Mission Systems. “Our manufacturing teams and our environmental health and safety staff are aggressively searching the entire enterprise to identify every piece of available PPE equipment, and they are rapidly transferring it to those who need it most.”
