BERKSHIRE COUNTY, MA – 1Berkshire is proud to announce and welcome Erika Allison from Great Barrington to our team as our new Director of Member Services. Erika joined us on February 21, 2018. In her role, she will manage all 1Berkshire events and signature programs, recruit and retain members and be an integral part of the 1Berkshire leadership team.“We’re so glad to have Erika join the team,” said Jonathan Butler, CEO at 1Berkshire. “Her experience and enthusiasm for building relationships with local employers and developing new opportunities and designing new solutions that address our members’ challenges will be a key part of our growth and sustainability.”Erika had 10 years experience in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education leadership, entrepreneurship, community development and collective impact models for growth. Her background is in engineering and business development for several Fortune 500 companies. After directing a statewide initiative in Maine to strengthen rural STEM education, Erika was attracted to the Berkshires for the quality of family life and the focus on nature and mindfulness. Erika lives in Great Barrington with her partner, a local restaurant owner and Kripalu teacher, and their 2 teenage boys. In her role at 1Berkshire, she will be using her skills to connect local businesses to opportunities and to each other as well as build a strong and responsive member services team for 1Berkshire.
