Upcoming Virtual Town Hall: Census 2020

1Berkshire Announces Its Ninth Virtual Town Hall

June 24, 2020 – Pittsfield, MA – After eight successful Virtual Town Halls, 1Berkshire is announcing its ninth conversation, to be held on Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 at 10:00 AM, with the focus being on the 2020 Census. Moderated by 1Berkshire President and CEO Jonathan Butler, this panel will include experts at the regional and local level who will offer insight into the 2020 Census, why it is critical for the region’s long-term success, and how viewers can get involved in ensuring a complete count for the region during the era of COVID-19

“The US Census provides data that supports a tremendous amount of decision making, including federal spending, emergency preparedness, and congressional reapportionment. In the Berkshires, where we have seen our population decline throughout the past two generations, a complete and accurate count was already a top priority. With the COVID-19 pandemic upon us, the importance of a complete 2020 Census has only increased.” stated Jonathan Butler.

1Berkshire Town Hall sessions are held on a regular basis and are an opportunity to discuss key and core issues in our region, so be sure to visit https://1berkshire.com/virtual-town-hall for upcoming events, and to tune into recordings of past sessions. 1Berkshire Virtual Town Halls are free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required.
