With hiking and other outdoor activities a popular draw for tourists and locals alike, the Berkshire Natural Resources Council has launched the High Road project to make the county completely walkable. The effort, which BNRC unveiled last year, seeks to connect the entire 946-square-mile county through a system of hiking, bicycle and other trails similar to the Coast to Coast trail in England or the Camino de Santiago in Spain.
