PITTSFIELD — Give the Teen Center an extreme makeover, and the young people will come.
That’s the goal behind a two-day, all-volunteer project to overhaul the 1,400-square-foot hangout for teenagers at the Boys and Girls Club of the Berkshires on Melville Street.
“We have a large number of teen members, but we don’t see enough of them,” said Shannon McMahon, the club’s teen and member services director.
“We’re really focused on getting teens in the door,” added club Executive Director Joe McGovern. “If these colors (lime green, purple, plum, aqua blue) get more teens here, great.” Read more about how the Boys and Girls Club of the Berkshires plans on getting teens in the door.>>
