Berkshire Healthcare Receives Bond to Build New Facility

PITTSFIELD — Berkshire Healthcare Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Berkshire Health Systems, has received a $28 million tax-exempt bond from MassDevelopment to build a new skilled nursing facility in East Longmeadow.The funding will allow Berkshire Healthcare to buy the land in East Longmeadow, demolish an existing building on the parcel, then build and furnish a 131-bed facility.
