Berkshire Economy: North Adams recognized for ‘Putting the Berkshires on the map’

The community of North Adams has been selected by 1Berkshire to receive the 2017 Putting the Berkshires on the Map award, the key honor that will be bestowed at the seventh annual Celebrate the Berkshires event in September. According to 1Berkshire Vice President Lori Klefos, the community in the award’s title refers to the North Adams area, not the city specifically. The award was granted to the community because of the number of significant events involving both the city’s public and private sectors that have occurred so far this year.
