ArtWeek – Spotlight

Woof!

Location: Museum of Dog in North Adams

This year, ArtWeek has gone statewide. Mark your calendars. ArtWeek starts April 27 and runs through May 6 across the Berkshires and the Commonwealth. Presented by Highland Street Foundation and produced by the Boch Center, ArtWeek offers new ways to engage with art, culture, and creativity. The majority of the events are totally free. We are proud to say that 1Berkshire is an ArtWeek sponsor. We worked with our local community to get our arts organizations involved and we are working to bring people to the Berkshires to enjoy ArtWeek because #creativityliveshere #intheberkshires.

We encourage you to experience the 30+ events in the Berkshires during ArtWeek. “We are thrilled to have such a great interest in ArtWeek in the Berkshires. Programming will showcase the areas world-class cultural organizations, but also spotlight local hidden gems,” said Chief Strategic Officer at the Boch Center, Sue Sullivan. You can expect everything from photography, music and environmental art to visual arts, writing, and newer experiences like the Museum of the Dog in North Adams. “I think it’s really wonderful that there’s so much activity out in the Berkshires. Now that we have a foundation, we can get people from other parts of the state and beyond to visit the Berkshires in the off-season. There’s really something for everyone,” continued Sue.

ArtWeek is an innovative festival that features hundreds of unique and creative experiences. A majority of the events are hands-on and interactive or offer behind-the-scenes access to art, culture, and the creative process. Through collaboration and partnerships, ArtWeek will be hosting over 500 creative and unique events this year. It’s the perfect opportunity to go out and experience something different.

Join us as we celebrate the creative spirit in the Berkshires and through the entire Commonwealth. Check out the full schedule of events.
