Passenger service from New York City to the Berkshires has taken one step further towards becoming a reality this month, as a final report was issued for the Berkshire Flyer 2.0. The study, being organized in conjunction with 1Berkshire, is a continuation of efforts to implement a Pilot for Seasonal Rail Service between New York and Pittsfield. Massachusetts State Senator Adam Hinds helped secure $100,000 in the FY19 state budget to continue moving forward the planning process.
