In 1986, a full-service ad agency was founded in Lenox, MA because Nate Winstanley (previously with General Electric) didn’t want to leave the Berkshires. Almost 30 years later, he and his business partner, Ralph Frisina, know that their collaboration with the Berkshire community has put them on the map all over the world. Their love of this place and all it has to offer, such as a hiking in Kennedy Park at the end of a workday, has helped them find their niche.
Doing business from the historic 1790 Elijah Northrup House in Lenox, the team at Winstanley represent everything we love about the Berkshires. Nate will tell you that being in Lenox is their biggest strength. While their location may raise some eyebrows with CEOs who are drawn to agencies with a New York or Boston mailing address, it is an attractive draw for talented, marketing and graphics professionals, who are not enamored with big-city life or cost of living.
Winstanley Partners, a marketing, creative design, communications, and interactive agency continues to win prestigious awards for their work with a range of clients, both national (Spalding, the official NBA game ball) and local (Balderdash Cellars of Pittsfield). Nevertheless, they are quick to tell you that doesn’t matter the most. It’s the way they dive into a client’s business that most impressed us. As a result, we chose them to redevelop a website, that would showcase the Berkshires as an extraordinary place to live and do business.
Last year, when Winstanley was creating advertising for Y-Zuri America, Inc., a purveyor of high-quality fishing lures, they created what they call the “Winstanley Fish Call” and then went fishing.
We are happy to say they jumped into the design of the 1Berkshire site with an equal amount of vigor. As designers of the new 1Berkshire website, their investment in the Berkshire County continues.
