March 22nd & 23rd, 2019

Your overnight stay on Friday, March 22nd has been reserved at the Country Inn at Jiminy Peak. Each participant is assigned a private room. Although there is no charge for your room, you will be asked to leave a credit card number for incidentals. Please leave your bags stowed in your cars until check-in.

Please park in the lot outside the Country Inn. You will be provided with parking credentials after 5:00 pm when we break for dinner and you check in to your rooms.  Please note that you are required to stay at Jiminy Peak the entire time and cannot have any outside visitors.

  • Highlight areas of investment in the Berkshires across various sectors of the economy
  • Learn about challenges and opportunities facing the region related to economic development in the Berkshires
  • Create thoughts and ideas among participants for class project

April 4, 2019

Session Objective: Convey the importance of volunteerism and explore the breadth of opportunities for participation throughout the region.

Session Objective: Introduce current initiatives, trends and challenges, while exploring the role the creative sector has in contributing to the regional economy.

April 18th, 2019

Session Objective: Discuss workforce and population trends in the Berkshires, identifying resources available to both job seekers and employers.

Session Objective: Explore our current educational landscape, providing participants with a better understanding of the challenges and successes in our region.

Session Objective: Provide an overview of the evolving healthcare infrastructure in the Berkshires, exploring traditional and alternative options available to residents.

Session Objective: Inform participants of current issues and initiatives affecting the area in terms of energy, agriculture, and environmental sustainability.

Session Objective: Demonstrate the role that local and state government play in our community, and inspire civic awareness and engagement among the participants.

Session Objective: Provide examples and narratives of different types of leadership, inspiring the class to take on their next leadership challenges in the workplace and in their community.

Commencement is mandatory for all participants, and dinner is included in your tuition. Participants are encouraged to invite up to two guests. Tickets must be purchased in advance for $40/person.
