At Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll), we’re a fast-growing, non-profit organization that offers innovative entrepreneurial and business ownership programs for free to the areas we serve.

EforAll began in 2010 as the Merrimack Valley Sandbox, a project launched under University of Massachusetts – Lowell with initial funding from the Deshpande Foundation. We first began working in the Massachusetts cities of Lowell and Lawrence to build a thriving, community-based entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Since our beginning, we have grown and proudly have offices in Cape Cod, New Bedford/Fall River, Holyoke, Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn, and New Bedford. We have also started growing nationally with our first office opening in the Greater Denver Area in Colorado with plans to grow and open more offices in Massachusetts and other states.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Program Manager with the drive to directly work and assist entrepreneurs who participate in our various programs offered at our Berkshire County location.

If you are someone who likes to work in a diverse environment where the program director and you interact directly with community leaders, plan events around our programs, and represent the organization at all events, then this job was made for you.

In other words, if you are a person who gets energized speaking in public or being the MC of events, enjoys community advocacy, and loves presenting to small and medium size groups, this is the job where you will shine.

We are also looking for someone who will work directly with and lead groups of budding entrepreneurs by informing them, advocating for them, and supporting them at all stages of all our programs.

Our most successful Program Managers are people who love to interact and lead other people. They are also full of energy, fun-loving, hardworking, self-motivated, organized, detail oriented, caring, empathetic, and full of passion for their community.

Your Experience/Background Details

Our ideal person will possess a High School diploma or GED with some experience in event planning, community work, administrative work, non-profit development, public speaking, networking, and even acting! A bachelor’s degree is desired, but not required.

Strong knowledge with computers is essential, and knowledge using Google drive is very helpful.

Our Pay

Our annual salary starts in the low $30ks to mid $40ks. Of course, the more experience, applied knowledge, and talent you have, the higher your pay rate.

Your Work Hours

Because this position is integral to the success of all programs we provide to our entrepreneurs, the work hours are dynamic and changing. Regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with one or two days a week working a sliding schedule that will start later in the day and end at 9 PM.

Job Description:

Title: Program Manager
Reports to: Berkshire County Executive Director, EforAll

Job Summary

The Program Manager will manage the Berkshire County semi-annual startup Accelerator and Awareness Building Programs. The Program Manager leads internal and external functions, managing EforAll’s internal operations and leading external projects that support the growth of entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses. A significant responsibility of the position is the timely and successful execution of events, seminars, and programs. The Program Manager will oversee the Berkshire County programs provided to entrepreneurs.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the Pitch Contests, Workshops, Info Sessions, and other activities for the startup Accelerator and Awareness Building programs.
  • Work with program and headquarters staff to ensure program quality, including curricula, mentors, experts, and intern staff.
  • Serve as a resource to program staff in the recruiting, hiring, training, and managing of program instructors, consultants, and volunteers.
  • Recommend new programs to meet changing needs of entrepreneurs and changing economic conditions.
  • Staff and/or attend programs as needed, which often take place during the evening.
  • Attend and speak at community meetings and events as needed.
  • Develop relationships with community groups to work collaboratively on various projects.
  • Maintain partnerships with community colleges and other key partners.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders within the local entrepreneurial ecosystem and economic development field to support recruitment of qualified small business applicants.
  • Encourage entrepreneurs and community involvement through on-the-ground outreach in the community.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Able to work and problem solve independently.
  • Effectively communicate with the Executive Director and report problems immediately for a quick resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in planning, organizing, managing, and running programs.
  • Ability to work flexibly in a growing organization and teamwork environment and to take initiative as a self-starter.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with people from diverse personal and professional backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license, have access to reliable transportation and an appropriately-insured vehicle (work-related travel is reimbursed).
  • Knowledge of the Berkshire County, MA area.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Self-starter able to self-direct and manage their assigned schedule and budget their time appropriately.
  • Possess a desire to learn and grow within the organization.
