Principal, Morris Elementary School, Lenox Public Schools

The Lenox Public Schools is seeking a highly-competent & duly-licensed leader to serve as Principal at the Morris Elementary School, effective July 1, 2020. Morris Elementary has a PreK-5 student body of 325 and a skilled & qualified professional and support staff of 70+. It is a high-performing, well-supported school that has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School, and has received commendations for excellence from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education.

Qualified applicants will have demonstrated experience with and/or knowledge of:

  • multi-tiered systems of student support
  • use of data from a variety of sources to inform instruction
  • educator evaluation
  • special education, 504, & development of IEPs and accommodation plans
  • instruction of English language learners & the components of Sheltered English Immersion
  • budget development & oversight, grants management, & program development

Applicants should provide 1.) a letter of interest, 2.) a current resume, 3.) evidence of current Massachusetts licensure as an elementary principal, or of eligibility for licensure by Massachusetts DESE, and 4.) three letters of recommendation, along with the names, positions, and contact information for at least three professional references.
