When Kate Maguire became president of Downtown Pittsfield Inc. three years ago, her presence “supercharged” the organization, according to fellow DPI member Steven Valenti.
“She was like a tornado in the room,” he said.
On Thursday, Maguire was honored for her service to the organization when she received the 2017 Robert K. Quattrochi Award as Downtown Pittsfield Inc.’s Person of the Year at DPI’s annual meeting at the Beacon Cinema.
The CEO and artistic director of the Berkshire Theatre Group, Maguire served as DPI’s president from 2014-16. Valenti, who received the Quattrochi Award last year from Maguire, said her efforts have helped make the city a better place. Read more about Kate Maguire becoming Person of the Year >>
