BLP Class of 2017 – Spotlight

Welcome to our new BLP class.

Location: Jacob’s Pillow Dance

We are excited to introduce you to the Berkshire Leadership Program (BLP) Class of 2017! This year marks a very special 20th Anniversary of BLP and we are pleased to accept 30 Berkshire residents from nearly every sector of the Berkshire economy into the program. They will join an alumni network of over 600 after commencement in June.

Stretching over ten weeks, this BLP Class will participate in weekly seminars, each exploring case studies of Berkshire industry clusters including workforce, education, government, community service, the creative economy, energy, and healthcare:

“As a BLP attendee, the program was an eye-opening experience for me. It opened windows of opportunity in the Berkshires, connecting me with a network of talented people in a professional capacity.” Danielle Thomas, Program & Event Specialist 1Berkshire

BLP is the product of decades of collaboration, influenced by people and businesses throughout the entire county, including guest speakers such as Pittsfield Mayor Linda Tyer, Sean Jennings of Berkshire Health Systems, Tyler Fairbank of the Fairbank Group (BLP Class of ‘97), and dozens of private business and nonprofits who have donated time and effort on behalf of BLP. As a capstone project, the BLP Class of 2017 will address a countywide issue rooted in economic development, getting involved with the community and creating change in the Berkshires. 1Berkshire is honored to guide the following individuals on this journey and proud to announce the 20th Berkshire Leadership Program Class:
